Spring might be here, but don’t get too excited. Yet. I live in the Mid Atlantic region of the east coast of the United States, and we have been known to get snow in LATE APRIL. Um yeah. Talk about a buzz kill.
What I’m saying is, the cold weather isn’t entirely done. So you’re still going to want to keep your knitting close at hand. What you don’t want is all that heavy black and dingy colored stuff you used to get you through February.
You want spring Knitting! You want a knitting project that is going to be like a breath of fresh air.
Because really, isn’t tax season stressful enough?

This is what you want! Fresh color and textures. This infinity scarf is easy to make and easy to layer. Wear it on a chilly morning and leave it at your desk when you go out for lunch.

Get called away for a business trip up north? No problem! Pack your Hummingbird Cake Infinity Scarf. It easily doubles and tucks neatly inside your coat. So your black winter coat gets an instant spring refresh.

(did you catch my Baable hat?). But who wants to work that hard on every single project? I certainly don’t. I enjoy the simple act of knitting and look forward to a project that doesn’t force you to work really hard the whole time.
Save the gymnastics for ESPN. Enjoy a little TV knitting instead.

I know what you’re asking. “Why did you name a knitting pattern after a Southern Dessert?” Good question! First of all, have YOU ever tried coming up with names for these kinds of things? Yeah. I didn’t think so. Some people will name their stuff after all the streets in their neighborhood or some other familiar thing. Personally I like the names of desserts a whole lot better than the names of the streets in my ‘hood.
You want to know how this infinity scarf is actually made, and more importantly, can YOU do it? YES YOU CAN!
This infinity scarf is a wonderful pattern for a newbie knitter. It will help build several new skills without being stressful. Video links are included with the pattern so that all the techniques are clearly demonstrated.
